Factory Operative

  • Hardworking individuals are required to work in our poultry production factory.  Individuals will be required to work on a semi-automated production line carrying out tasks associated with the processing of poultry.

Applicants must possess a willingness to learn and be able to work as part of a team.  Full training will be provided.

Hygiene Operatives

Hardworking individuals are required to work with our Hygiene team in our poultry production factory. You will have responsibility for detailed cleaning of our production facility using both high and low pressure washing, chemical application and hand cleaning.

The Hygiene team are responsible for meeting all required food safety legislation requirements and customer codes of practice.

The position involves industrial cleaning – this is not domestic or office type cleaning.

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to work as part of a team

·Industrial cleaning experience

·Applicants must possess a willingness to learn and be able to work as part of a team. Full training will be given in this role.

· Applicants must have full driving license and own transport

Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Starting from £10.00/hour

Farm Workers

Capestone are looking to recruit Poultry Operatives in a full time, fixed term contract from June – December 18th. The position would involve working as part of the poultry team to enable the running of all poultry operations and ensuring the welfare of all poultry. The role is based outdoors.

Your duties will include:

Practice the bio-security standards applicable to the farm

Ensure birds have access to sufficient feed and water in sheds

Provide fresh bedding when required

Responsibility for health and welfare of poultry

Responsibility for the sheds in which the poultry are kept

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to work as part of a team

Full-time, Fixed-term

Salary: £8.91/hour

Lairage Operative

We have great opportunities to join our Lairage Team. Lairage Operatives are responsible for the outside factory area. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating and dealing with poultry delivered to site in accordance with health and safety and animal welfare regulations.

Some of your duties will include:

Keeping the slaughter line running efficiently

Keeping the outside factory area clean and tidy

Pressure washing 

Maintain your own and others’ health and safety



Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

Forklift license is desirable

Executive Assistant

Capestone are looking for a highly motivated and hardworking Executive Assistant to join our fantastic office team. You will be based in our HR office helping the Managing Director and HR Manager with day to day administrative responsibilities.

·Acting as a first point of contact: dealing with correspondence and phone calls

· Provide visitors with information and direct them accordingly

· Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party

· Typing, compiling, and preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence

· Managing diaries and organising meetings and appointments, controlling access to the Managing Director

· Prepare meeting agendas, perform research for meetings and take minutes.

· Booking and arranging travel, transport, and accommodation

· Perform other administrative support tasks, including updating and sorting files, drafting, and proofreading correspondence, and supporting payroll.

· 1-3 years of relevant experience in an office setting, preferably in an administrative or clerical role

· Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise, and comfortable working independently

· Discretion and trustworthiness: you will often be party of confidential information

· Flexibility and adaptability

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Organisational skills and the ability to multitask

· The ability to be proactive and take the initiative
